If the vehicle is equipped with LATCH, the vehicle lower anchor points may be visible at the seat crease. If not visible, the seating position may be marked with a symbol (fig. Check your vehicle owner’s manual and look for the tether anchor symbol as shown. A tether reduces movement of a forward facing child restraint in a crash and helps to achieve a tight installation. Vehicle tether anchors can be found in many different locations. Some of the typical locations are shown here. If so, follow the vehicle owner’s manual to remove the headrest.
